Aging is a
timeless process and a dreaded one to many of us. When most of us
think of aging, we worry about how we'll look to others and whether
or not we`ll meet the expectations of those who are important to us.
When we look
younger, we feel younger and better about ourselves. And feeling
better is what it is all about, but at what cost?
Believe it or not, a few simple tricks can easily take
years off of our complexion, without the need of plastic surgery or
painful needles. See for yourself by turning back the hands of time
with these great tips.
Hair
While gray hairs is a common culprit for adding years
to our age, the wrong hairstyle can also add years to our true
age.
To disguise any wrinkles that are on your forehead,
try adding a fringe. Today's fringes can be versatile, giving you a
variety of options without being stuck with the once simple straight
across the forehead fringe.
To hide a soften jawline, try looking for a style that
layers just around your neck to focus away from this area. Also try
adding a few short layers on top of your crown to add volume and
focus away from any sagging areas.
If crows feet are a bother for you, add layers that frame your face
to help hide the lines.
If you want to wear long, have it layered. Layering long hairwill
make you look re-freshed and give you a face-lift.
Opt for a new color and cut instead of the same old thing. Changing
your hair can take years off your appearance and keep you from being
stuck in a rut.
Make-Up
Give your eyes an instant lift by shaping your eyebrows. Use a brow
pencil to fill in brows and soften features.
Trying lightening your eyebrows a shade or two to help soften your
face. For gray eyebrows ask your hair colorist to color them.
Remember to use concealer. Look for one that is creamy and contains a
peach or yellow undertone to remove the bluish cast under your eyes.
Avoid concealers that are lighter than your skin tone.
Use a light touch when setting your foundation with
powder. Too much powder will settle into lines and highlight them.
Use a cream blush rather than a powdery one, since powder blushes
will draw attention to lines.
Opt for a lighter lipcolor. Darker lipcolors can make you look harsh
and accentuate imperfections. To make lips seem fuller, add a touch
of gloss to the inside of the bottom part of your lip.
Use a moisture-rich foundation and when you don't wear foundation,
use a moisturiser to keep skin looking fresh and hydrated. Apply the
foundation only where it is necessary and avoid apply it on fine
lines.
